This picture, a precious glimpse into the past, was shared with me by a community member from La Haciendita Guanajuato who saw Mujeres in an exhibition. The women in this piece, captured in the early 1960s, are the next generation of women who gathered to learn and sew together. The teacher, with a measuring tool outlined with gold embroidery thread, guides them in using sewing machines. This photograph, a gift from our community, is a testament to the enduring spirit of learning and friendship.
