Sola is a self-portrait exploring self-reflection, concealment, and reclamation. I gaze into a handheld mirror, my eyes and features partially revealed, partially hidden beneath cascading floral imagery. The flowers—recurring symbols throughout my practice—here become both adornment and armor, marking a moment of quiet reckoning with identity, truth, and survival. Sola is an homage to myself: what I protected, what I finally allowed myself to see, and the dignity found in witnessing my own story with honesty and grace.
